School

On my marveling about the dexterity of a fisherman sailing in the Sea of Galilee, the fisherman answered: my father is a fisherman, my grandfather was a fisherman and his father too, so it flows in my blood. Well, my father was a teacher, my grandfather was a teacher, and so am I. It's a rewarding experience for me, and I like what the students say after class.

It is most natural for people in their upper years to pass on acquired wisdom and share the fruits of past learning. That is why I get busy teaching. Most often I teach well defined, clearly necessary topics of science, technology and engineering, but here I present myself as a teacher for innovation science in its broad context as a means to satisfy the lofty need to understand what is the meaning that life presents to you.

When you approach your innovation challenges from this 'religious' point of view -- holistically, life as a puzzle, reality as a riddle, then the practicalities of daily innovation become so much more lubricated.

I offer innovation science lessons in one afternoon summary, in a full day session, in three weekly classes, as well as in larger frameworks. I teach from afar, I teach face to face, I teach one-way, or two ways: namely we discuss your innovation challenges, and I become your. virtual team member.

We start our innovation classes with the simple idea: if the innovation challenge before you does not lead to a direct solution, then go for a related innovation challenge that you can solve, and for which the solution will allow you to solve the original intractable challenge.

This challenge-replacement strategy is iterative... Think about it for a moment in order to realize what this means for your innovation strategy. Like I said, it will be an enjoyable class. Do you hear the bell ring?

Gideon Samid

Innovation is our shared tool-box to fix what needs fixing in a very practical way.  But the very act of turning unknown into known is spiritually uplifting. Innovation is shaping up as the religion of the 21st century.
